What did you want to be when you were 6 years old?

I wanted to be the lady that sang the national anthem at the hockey game every night.

What is your favourite after school activity?

When I'm not at work, my favourite activity is Vocal Jazz, which is a selective vocal group at Mount Baker Secondary School that practices every Tuesday and Thursday. It's my happy place, and I love being a part of something so special and rewarding. As a group, we have grown together, and it's like having a second family that is always there for you, no matter what.

What was the last photo you took on your phone?

It was a picture of my friends and me at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Moscow, Idaho. It started to snow, and we were all running through it and racing each other. It's one of my favourite memories.

Who is your favourite teacher?

Mr. Bueckert, my music teacher. He has taught me so much, not just about music, but about life.

What will you miss most about school?

Vocal Jazz and the music programs. We have grown together and become a family over the past three years, and I know that when I graduate I'll miss seeing those people every day.

What is something people would be surprised to know about you?

I have a terrible fear of heights, and I can hang a spoon off of my nose.

What is your favourite piece of jewellery?

A white gold chain with an opal pendant. It was a gift from my boyfriend, Justin. I wear it every day.
